Hand felted soap is an effective and quirky way to wash your hands and body. Use your felted soap as it is – the wool has a gentle exfoliating action. Wool is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-microbial so it stays clean and hygienic. As you can get a good, non-slip, grip on the soap you can use the whole bar!
The wool absorbs the soap residue, preventing it from being left on your counter (so it saves on cleaning time too!)
I bought my first hand felted soap on holiday in Sweden, and paid £17 for it! They had used far too much wool though, so it didn’t work. I made my own, and started selling it. It’s my biggest selling product, and has numerous fans.
Wool is naturally biodegradable, so once you have completely used your soap if you don’t wish to use it as a facial exfoliator, you can compost the wool, or at least not feel guilty about putting it in the bin.
I’ve carefully selected four fragrances, and also have a fragrance free one:
- Fragrance Fee – no added scent
- Ocean Shore – slightly spicy, good non-gendered
- Spring Woodland – hyacinth, floral with a hint of citrus
- Summer Meadow – chamomile
- Tropical Sunrise – pink grapefruit
All soaps are fully labelled with ingredients and any allergens highlighted. Please contact me if you wish to see the ingredients before buying. I do not make the soaps myself, so the brand address and batch number are also on the label. The soaps are made in England, NOT tested on animals and are RSPO (sustainable) palm oil based.
Each soap comes with an information leaflet about the benefits/advantages of felted soaps.
I also make a felt your own soap kit.
