British Birds – Set of 4 Coasters

£21.00

We are closed for Christmas and the New Year. Many thanks to all our customers. See you in 2024!

Artify your morning cuppa, workplace brew or evening tipple!  This set of four glossy hardboard coasters have been created from some of my original paper marquetry fine art pieces; they will withstand the hottest of brews or the coldest of cocktails and are easy to care for; simply wipe them clean with a damp cloth.

Kingfisher: I can remember my excitement the first time I ever saw the majestic Kingfisher; a flash of vivid plumage as this little bird dived from the banks of the Macclesfield canal into its dark waters.  Mono printed, textured & recycled papers were cut and hundreds of tiny pieces were inlaid & pieced together, like a jigsaw puzzle, to make this intricate creation.  Can you spot the recycled dictionary page for the branch?

Goldfinch: The striking colours of this little bird & its beautiful songs always catch my attention when they visit my garden. I’ll often see them flitting through the apple trees or merrily singing away whilst sitting on a tall branch protruding from the hawthorn hedges. Textured and recycled papers were cut and hundreds of tiny pieces were inlaid & pieced together, like a jigsaw puzzle, to make this intricate creation.

Blue Tit: This little bird is one of many Blue Tits that visit my garden every day, flitting between the leaves & branches of the fruits trees & hawthorn hedges.  This one has a fairly funky ‘hair do’ compared to its pals, so we named it Tufty.  Hand marbled, textured & recycled papers were cut and hundreds of tiny pieces were inlaid & pieced together, like a jigsaw puzzle, to make this intricate creation.  Can you spot the recycled dictionary page for the branch?

Robin: Whilst I have robins nesting in my garden, always taking an interest at whatever we are up to in the garden, this one was sitting fluffed up on the riverbank watching the world go by on an icy cold winter day at Glendalough, Ireland. Mono printed, textured & recycled papers were cut and hundreds of tiny pieces were inlaid & pieced together, like a jigsaw puzzle, to make this intricate creation.

This set includes 4 coasters: Close ups of: Kingfisher, Goldfinch and Blue Tit, full image of the robin. There is also an alternative set that features the full images of each bird so that you can choose which set you prefer
