Hand-forged letter opener with simple twist, finished in canola oil.
These are small letter openers, based on knives from Scandinavian countries found through the Iron age and Migration period. In Sweden, they are referred to as krumnivs, which translates to “bent knife”, and in rural Poland I’ve been told similar knives are still used and called “sickle knives”.
These are made from mild steel and do not receive a heat treatment. They are small blades meant to opening letters or as a small eating knife whilst out camping. Also happy to stamp initials, numbers or runes into the blade upon request.
These are made to order so please allow a week for production and shipping. If you need one before a certain date, please get in touch and I will do everything I can to get it to you by then.
Thank you for viewing and have a great day!
