As we go through many toothbrushes a year, the plastic toothbrushes create a huge amount of waste in our oceans and landfills. Additionally, electric toothbrushes are extremely toxic due to their batteries which can percolate to land.
While our bristles are recyclable, they are also the one part of a bamboo toothbrush that isn’t biodegradable (we are talking less than a gram of material here, compared to a whole plastic toothbrush).
How to properly dispose of the toothbrush:
- Remove the nylon bristles using pliers
- The bristles should then be placed in the recycling bin (preferably inside another plastic item as they’re so small so could get lost)
- Simply put the remainder of the toothbrush into the compost bin!

If you’re unhappy with your product, we are happy to offer a full refund within 14 days of your purchase.
